Common Ground Construction Report

It’s mid-July, we’re about halfway through our Common Ground construction project(!) and PCM’s new music learning center is really starting to take shape. You can even start to imagine the new, purpose built spaces teeming with young musicians’ classes, adult ensembles, and world music ensembles.

Demolition – which began in December 2023 – feels like a distant memory.

Over the past few months, the ground was graded, the foundation poured, and the steel frame went up (including the beam that many of you signed!).

Meanwhile, a major transformation is underway in the administration wing of the main building: The floorplan has been reconfigured to create a more open and welcoming reception area, and new passageways have been created to facilitate harmonious integration and easy access between the main building and the music learning center.
