Roman Borek is one of PCM’s unsung heroes – and that’s exactly how he would want it. But, we are delighted to pay tribute to him as we announce the inauguration of the Roman Andrew Borek Endowed Scholarship, an award funded by The Fine Arts Club of Pasadena.

Peter Fang joins PCM for The Secret Piano on April 23, the final Musical Interlude of the 2021-2022 season. A first prize winner at the 2012 Steinway Piano Competition, Peter has performed at Lincoln Center in New York, Symphony Hall in Boston, Universität Mozarteum in Austria, and National Concert Hall in Taipei, as well as other prestigious venues. Peter holds degrees from the New England Conservatory, The Juilliard School, and Yale University. He is currently pursuing a Doctoral of Musical Arts degree in piano performance at USC, where he studies with Jeffrey Kahane.

PCM is proud to announce the public launch of its Common Ground campaign. In this time when so much divides us, learning, performing, and enjoying music provides substantive opportunities to leave divisions behind, forge connections, and find common ground.

At the start of every summer, students and faculty alike look forward to getting together to learn beautiful chamber music pieces and present them in a final recital at the end of the week-long intensive. Now that most pandemic restrictions have been lifted, students were finally able to return to campus this summer to participate in the intensive for the first time in three years.
