This program draws inspiration from the work of Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec, particularly the iconic imagery of his cookbook, The Art of Cuisine. This first concert in our 21st season of Mansions & Music will use the cookbook as the backdrop for an evening of cello and piano music from Toulouse-Lautrec’s native country. The sound landscape will entice the proverbial palette with works by Boulanger, Debussy, Fauré, and Ravel.
