The oldest of four, Denise Sauppe grew up in Glendale. She is the granddaughter of PCM’s co-founder, Silke Sauppe who influenced her love for piano and violin. She started violin lessons with Mary Kelly at the age of 7 and later on with Sharon Harman. She has since participated in the PYSO and PCM’s chamber music. During her time at Crescenta Valley High School, she has played in the pit orchestra for the musical The Fantasticks and also has been part of the school’s Symphony orchestra wherein they recently performed at Carnegie Hall. In the fall, she will be attending Azusa Pacific University to pursue Nursing.
