“When you don’t have any money to go on holiday, you must make do by using your imagination,” wrote Debussy.

This program begins with his triptych, Estampes (Prints). The first two pieces (Pagodas, Evening in Granada) constitute an exotic travelogue; the third piece, Gardens in the Rain, is stay-at-home music.

Other impressionistic masterpieces on the program include Debussy’s Feux d’artifice (Fireworks) and Ravel’s Jeux d’eau (The Play of Water).

All pieces will be poerformed by pianist, Esther Yune.
