About Kathleen Tesar
Kathleen Tesar earned her Bachelor of Music and Master of Music degrees in violin performance, and enjoyed a 15-year career as an orchestral musician. Transitioning to arts administration, Kathleen worked at the Eastman School of Music (Rochester, NY) and the Colburn School (Los Angeles, CA), and is now the Associate Dean for Enrollment Management at The Juilliard School (New York, NY). She recently completed a Doctor of Education degree with a focus on Organizational Change and Leadership. Dr. Tesar specializes in helping students and parents understand why schools ask what they ask for, and what happens behind the scenes in the world of admissions.
