Cantare: Mendelssohn in Spring

FREE

Cantare is back! After two years of virtual music making and postponements, our spring concert “Cantare: Mendelssohn in Spring” is now slated for May 10th. The centerpiece of the program is the lively, thoughtful, and bombastic secular and sacred choral music of romantic composer Felix Mendelssohn, alongside his choral predecessors of the Renaissance Era. We will also feature some favorite choral staples such as Z. Randall Stroopes “The Pasture” and Frank Tichelli’s “Earth Song”, an ode to peace and restoration.

We cannot wait to gather onstage once again and share our hearts and joy in music-making with you. See you there on May 10th at 7pm in Barrett Hall on the campus of the Pasadena Conservatory of Music. An informal reception will follow the performance.

Masks and proof of full vaccination* are required for entry for all audience members ages 12 and up. Please be prepared to show your vaccination card (or digital copy) and a photo ID.

*Fully vaccinated is defined as two weeks after receiving a second dose of a two-dose COVID-19 vaccine, or two weeks after receiving a single-dose COVID-19 vaccine.
