About Callisto Trio
In May of 2016, the Callisto Trio became the youngest ensemble ever to medal in the Senior Division of the Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition. The Callisto Trio, comprised of Geneva Lewis, violin; Annie Jacobs-Perkins, cello; Katelyn Vahala, piano, is currently based in Los Angeles. Geneva is a third-year student at the New England Conservatory of Music, studying with Miriam Fried. Annie is also at NEC pursuing a Masters degree with Laurence Lesser and Katelyn is pursuing a Masters degree at USC with Dr. Lucinda Carver.

Geneva and Katelyn first met in 2011 and have been playing chamber music together ever since. Together they were chosen as an Honors ensemble to tour internationally with Junior Chamber Music, including performances in Austria, Estonia, Finland, Germany, and Russia. Annie and Katelyn met through the Thornton School of Music while pursuing Bachelors degrees. A shared love of chamber music brought the trio together and they are committed to exploring a wide variety of music and bringing it to diverse communities.

Since their formation, the trio has participated in festivals in both the United States and Europe, including the Perlman Music Program and the International Holland Music Sessions. While at the Perlman Program, the trio had the opportunity to study with Itzhak Perlman, Joseph Kalichstein and Merry Peckham. They have also worked with Dr. Lucinda Carver and Ralph Kirshbaum at the Thornton School of Music and Andrew Cook at the Pasadena Conservatory of Music. They are very excited to be embarking on their first concert season, which will include a tour to Holland and Bratislava in January 2018 with a concert at the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam.
