Join us for an evening of festive music on rare and indigenous stringed instruments. Celia Liu will play classical Chinese music on the pipa–a four-stringed short-necked Chinese lute. A Son Jarocho ensemble based in East Los Angeles, Cambalache, will play traditional music from Veracruz. Ric Ickard, a Los Angeles-based musician, arranger, producer, recording artist, and teacher will also perform on the instrument that he’s most passionate about—the seven-string guitar.
