In June 2020, following the shutdown of our campus, we introduced Musical Interludes, a virtual adaption of M&M. Our hope is that these programs serve as a bridge between pre- and post-Covid-19 concerts. Around the Conservatory March 11, 2021 Mary La Blanc Mary La Blanc is a percussion performance major at the University of Southern California. She joined the PCM team as Education Technology Intern in August 2020 and shares about her experience both as a PCM staff member and as a musician. Around the Conservatory March 25, 2021 Presenting the Unaccompanied Bach Faculty Concert In the fall, we recorded and presented a virtual concert with piano faculty performing a number of Chopin Etudes in Barrett Hall. The program was presented as a YouTube premiere and has been viewed over 800 times. Typically, our live faculty concerts are attended by up to 100 audience members. Being able to share these so broadly has greatly increased our reach and allowed many more students and families to enjoy performances by our faculty. Around the Conservatory April 16, 2021 ArtNight 2021 In keeping with social distancing requirements, VIRTUAL ARTNIGHT PASADENA will happen October 23, 2020. ArtNight Pasadena is the City’s signature cultural event, produced by the Cultural Affairs division in partnership with the ArtNight partner organizations. ArtNight Pasadena is a dynamic arts and cultural Open House that happens each March and October on the 2nd Friday. Up to 18 venues will provide free programming, including visual, literary and performing arts virtually.
