This scholarship was created for the 2020-2021 school year in memory of Tim Fleming, an involved member of the local music community who passed away in April 2020. Around the Conservatory October 9, 2020 PCM Artist-Teacher Aimée Kreston to Helm Chamber Music Department Over the past ten years, and under the direction of Artist-Teacher Andrew Cook (cello), the Chamber Music Department has gained a reputation as a program that trains young chamber musicians at the highest levels. Ready for a break, Mr. Cook recently decided to pass the Chamber Music baton to Ms. Kreston. Now, under her direction the Chamber Music Department continues to pursue its reputation for excellence and innovation, despite this being a particularly difficult time for collaborative music making. Around the Conservatory October 27, 2020 2019-2020 Annual Report In last year’s annual report, we outlined PCM’s growth over the 2018 - 2019 school year. The Conservatory was on a well-planned, predictable path. This year’s story is different. For the first three quarters, 2019 - 2020 continued along the same dynamic, upward trajectory. Once again, our story was one of growth, ambitious programs, exciting concerts, and uncompromising, high level music education. But in mid-March, everything changed... Around the Conservatory October 23, 2020 ArtNight 2020 In keeping with social distancing requirements, VIRTUAL ARTNIGHT PASADENA will happen October 23, 2020. ArtNight Pasadena is the City’s signature cultural event, produced by the Cultural Affairs division in partnership with the ArtNight partner organizations. ArtNight Pasadena is a dynamic arts and cultural Open House that happens each March and October on the 2nd Friday. Up to 18 venues will provide free programming, including visual, literary and performing arts virtually.
