Patrick Rosalez holds Masters and Doctoral degrees in viola performance from Arizona State University, where he studied with Dr. William Magers. While at Arizona State he served as Dr. Magers’ teaching assistant, during which time he studied and assisted courses in Dounis pedagogy.

As a chamber musician and orchestral musician, Dr. Rosalez has performed throughout the United States, Mexico and Japan, performing as a member of the Phoenix Symphony, the Arizona Opera, the Long Beach Opera, the Percy Faith Orchestra, the Jacaranda Festival Orchestra, the Mozart Classical Chamber Orchestra, the Riverside Philharmonic, and the International Philharmonic of the Americas among others. He has spent previous summers performing with the Crested Butte Summer Festival Orchestra, as principal violist of the National Orchestral Institute Orchestra, with the Aspen Festival Orchestra and with the Henry Mancini Institute Orchestra.

Dr. Rosalez has attended Suzuki teacher training sessions taught by Ed Kreitman, Ed Sprunger, Susan Kempter, Liz Arbus and Dan Swaim. He has been teaching students of all ages ranging from 4 years old to adult since 1997. He joined the PCM faculty in 2006.

His former students have gone on to continue their musical studies at prestigious institutions including Juilliard, Northwestern, the University of Michigan, the University of Indiana, USC, Brown University, Case Western Reserve University, University of Oregon, Arizona State University and California State University Long Beach. In addition, a number of his former students now hold music faculty positions at Universities around the USA.
