The Pasadena Community Orchestra is pleased to invite the public to attend their annual Young Artist Competition to hear contestants perform prepared pieces, with piano accompaniment, in front of a panel of judges. The winners will perform with the full Orchestra at concerts in 2025.

The Senior competition winner will be awarded a solo concerto performance with the orchestra and a $1,000 cash prize (this is an increase from our $500 prize in prior years). The Junior competition winner will be awarded a solo performance – a single movement from a concerto – with the orchestra and a $500 cash prize.

Please Note: Young children are not allowed in the hall, and the audience must remain very quiet at all times, so as not to distract the performers or the judges. No applause! You will be free to enter or leave only in the short breaks between performers, as directed by an usher.
