Johanna Borenstein is an active orchestral and studio musician in Los Angeles and Principal Flute of the Modesto Symphony. She has performed under John Williams, Alan Silvestri, Danny Elfman, John Powell, Ludwig Göransson, Germaine Franco on many movie and tv scores including Star Wars IX, Indiana Jones 5, Encanto, The Greatest Showman, Avatar:the way of water, The Mandalorian, Star Trek, The Grinch, Men in Black International, Ghostbusters, Call of the Wild, Family Guy, American Dad, The Orville among many others.

She frequently performs with LA Opera, Sarasota Opera, Pasadena Symphony, Pacific Symphony, Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra, Santa Barbara Symphony, Hollywood Bowl orchestra, Long Beach Symphony, Hawaii Ballet, San Diego Symphony, American Ballet Theatre, and Los Angeles Ballet.

Johanna holds degrees from The Hartt School of Music, San Francisco Conservatory and The Colburn School. She has studied with John Wion, Tim Day, Jim Walker.
