Play well with others
It’s time to register for 2014-2015 classes! This year, we’re pleased to offer three new ensembles–two for adults and one for children–for more opportunities to play with peer musicians.

An audition is required. Please contact the office at music@pasadenaconservatory.org for more information about auditions.

Piano Ensemble (for adults)
Meets Mondays from 12:30-2:30 p.m.
This class is designed for adult amateurs of intermediate to advanced levels. The ensemble will study and perform original and arranged works for piano duos, trios, and quartets. Fundamental ensemble skills such as collaboration, synchronization, and rehearsal techniques, as well as activities designed to develop piano technique, efficient practice habits, and sight reading skills will be addressed. Class priorities include making music with other pianists and having fun! Conducted by Dr. Cynthia Williams.
Tuition: $900/720*
Percussion Ensemble (for children)
Meets Wednesday (time TBD)
This ensemble class lead by T.J. Troy explores the rich repertoire of contemporary percussion ensemble music, utilizing an eclectic range of percussion instruments from all over the world. Focusing primarily on percussion masterworks from the 20th and 21st centuries, the ensemble challenges the performers’ concepts of form, timbre, and notation, within a tonal world unavailable from any other instrumental category. Additionally, the ensemble explores percussion technique and performances from many musical traditions, and incorporates them regularly alongside more traditional percussion sensibilities.
Tuition: $1080/900*
