Job Description: Pasadena Conservatory of Music is seeking a part-time teacher for group chorus classes for 4th and 5th-grade students. Responsibilities include: becoming familiar with core repertoire, effective classroom management, lesson planning, delivering developmentally-appropriate instruction in a class setting, and preparing two recitals per year. Work hours require early afternoon availability in Pasadena from 12:00-2:30 pm Tuesdays and Thursdays, beginning September 2, 2025, and ending May 22, 2026–33 weeks total.
Qualifications & Requirements: The candidate must: demonstrate a working knowledge of conducting a group music lesson and choosing appropriate repertoire, have experience teaching school-aged children, have a desire to make a positive impact within an elementary school community, and a willingness to learn and apply best practices in classroom instructional strategies. A CV or written resume should be submitted prior to an interview.

Job Description: The vocal arts instructor will provide individual instruction for students of all ages. Successful candidates will join a collegial department of teachers committed to teaching at the highest level. Performance opportunities may also be possible for those with strong performance skills.
Responsibilities: Provide weekly individual lessons following the vocal arts (classically oriented/bel canto) curriculum. Prepare students to participate in all aspects of the program (recitals, juries, etc). Attend quarterly department meetings. Must make up to 5 hours per week available for assigned students.
Qualifications:
- A master’s degree in vocal arts preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Candidates should have experience teaching students of all ages with a broad range of abilities.
