A presentation of “Play On”, this series brings together PCM faculty, students, staff, and families, to talk about their music teaching and learning experience during the time of Covid-19.

Each event includes a panel discussion covering the advantages and disadvantages of distance learning formats, how families are staying connected with one another, interesting projects and collaborations that have come out of quarantine, and other related topics.

In PCM’s second webinar in this series, Advisory Council Member Elisa Callow talks with PCM parents about their family’s experience around learning music from home, the challenges of distance learning, and how they support their children’s music studies in this new environment. Join us – parents, students, and friends – to learn more about learning music in a crisis.

About the parents and their families:
Kiku Iwata has a a fourteen year-old daughter who has studied violin, Suzuki, Mariachi, and music theory at PCM since 2014. Eric and Suzie Lee have two boys, 5 and 8, who take piano lessons with Dr. Stephen Cook and previously participated in the Young Musicians program at PCM. Nancy Elliott’s three teenage sons have studied cello, clarinet, and guitar at PCM since 2014.
