Message to PCM Community | Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19)
Dear PCM Students and Families,
Thank you for your patience and resiliency as we continually adapt to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and related restrictions. These are challenging times and the spirit of cooperation and team-work is deeply appreciated.
With summer programs and lessons underway, we’ve turned our attention to planning for the fall. As mentioned in previous communications, our task force has been carefully developing plans and protocols for a phased re-opening of the campus. In addition to monitoring evolving city, county, and state guidelines, we are consulting directly with the Pasadena Public Health Department. In light of this, and after careful consideration, we have determined that the fall quarter will begin in online formats only and the campus will remain closed to students.
This was a difficult call to make, but the health and safety of our students, faculty, staff, and community continue to guide our decision making. We look forward to sharing our reopening plans when it is determined that it is safe to reopen.
With our dedicated and extraordinary faculty, PCM continues to offer the highest level of music education. We will be sharing guidelines and recommendations for optimizing the learning experience at home; new classes will be offered for students to develop proficiency and creativity using music technology; and performance opportunities in virtual formats will continue to be offered.
Again, we greatly appreciate your patience, resolve, and good will during this challenging time. We look forward to a great new school year and of course can’t wait for the day we all return to the campus and make music together again.

Keep Calm and Play On
PCM is sharing images and videos of students and faculty members practicing and performing at home, attending skype lessons, and whatever else we can source from our community.
We hope these postings remind us all that we are a community devoted to learning, performing, and enjoying music. We can’t wait to welcome you back to the Conservatory.
If you’d like to share an image or video with the community please email us at music@pasadenaconservatory.org. We hope to hear from you!
And if you are able to consider making a donation to help PCM navigate these uncertain times, we would be deeply grateful. A gift of any amount helps. Thank you!
Be well. Keep Calm and Play On.
