For the health and safety of our community, PCM follows the guidance and protocols of federal, state, and local public health agencies. Given the nature of COVID-19, this guidance is subject to change.

Beginning Monday, March 21, PCM will align with updated guidance from the Pasadena, Los Angeles County, and California public health departments and shift to strongly recommending indoor masking.

Some instructors may opt to continue requiring masks in their studios. PCM fully supports their decision in this matter. Please be sure to check with your instructor if you plan on not wearing a mask at your lessons beginning Monday, March 21.

Additionally, masks are still required for all audience members at indoor student recitals (students do not need to wear masks while performing).

For students who prefer a virtual format, we will continue to provide excellent instruction for remote learners.

Vaccination Information for Students and Faculty

To safeguard the health and well-being of our community, all faculty working on campus, staff, students (ages 12+), and guests entering PCM buildings are currently required to be fully vaccinated.

In developing our policies, PCM considers the guidance and protocols of local, state, and federal public health agencies as well as best practices adopted in local schools and peer organizations.

Fully vaccinated is defined as: two weeks after receiving a second dose of a two-dose COVID-19 vaccine, or two weeks after receiving a single-dose COVID-19 vaccine. For those who prefer a virtual format, we will continue to provide excellent instruction for remote learners.

Effective Monday, February 7, we require students (ages 12+), faculty, staff members, and guests to provide a copy of their state (or in some cases provider-issued) Covid-19 digital vaccination record and corresponding QR code before participating in in-person activities on campus.

Submitting Proof of Vaccination

There are several ways to access one’s Covid-19 digital vaccination record, but in California, the ca.gov site is the easiest. After following a few simple steps, you will be sent your digital record and QR code via text message or email.

You may submit a screenshot of your digital record and QR code via our secure, encrypted submission form on the PCM website

You have three options re: submitting your proof of vaccination to PCM:

  1. Submit a screenshot of your digital record and QR code via this secure, encrypted submission form.
  2. Send a screenshot of your digital record and QR code via email to music@pasadenaconservatory.org.
  3. Stop by the main office and show your vaccination information in-person.

Masks are available in the front office for anyone who forgets to bring their own.
