Madeleine Eaton earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Violin Pedagogy from the Mozarteum in Salzburg, Austria, where she studied from 2000 through 2005. Her violin teacher there was Anita Mitterer, the violist in the string quartet Quatuor Mosaiques. While in Salzburg, Ms. Eaton also had the opportunity to study Baroque performance practice with Wolfgang Brunner, new music performance practice with Martin Mumelter and jazz with Peter Arnesen and Johannes Prischl.
After returning to California, Ms. Eaton pursued her jazz studies further, taking classes at Pasadena City College with David Arnay, Bobby Bradford, Bobby Rodriguez and Ray Yslas. She received Suzuki teacher training from Liz Arbus and currently performs in the Rio Hondo Symphony. She has been a PCM faculty member since 2006.
