"Helping Parents Practice"

"Helping Parents Practice," will be presented by Edmund Sprunger, noted Suzuki teacher trainer and child development specialist. Sprunger is the author of Helping Parents Practice: Ideas for Making it Easier, one of the more widely recommended and read books for parents of young instrumentalists. The seminar will help parents gain insight into "practice basics" and ways parents can encourage children to play to a "standard of excellence."

"Teaching Suzuki Group Lessons"

Teacher Development, 10am - 12:30pm
Edmund Sprunger will teach an overview of group class teaching, covering principles and strategies that generate effective group classes. The class wil be violin centric; however, the principles and strategies discussed during the course are broad and applicable to all string instruments. Suzuki teachers currently teaching violin, viola, and cello group lessons will have their understanding of successful group teaching expanded. There will also be time for questions or discussion during the workshop.
