CHAMBER MUSIC

Fall Quarter: September 7 - December 5
Winter Quarter: December 6 - March 13
Spring Quarter: March 14 - June 13

Instrumental students and adult amateurs are eligible, by audition, to participate in the chamber music program. Chamber groups are formed for string players, wind players, brass players, pianists and guitarists. All students accepted into the chamber music program must enroll for the entire school year and continue to study privately on their individual instruments.

Prospective students should contact the Conservatory office for a chamber music application and to schedule an audition. At the audition students will play scales, a solo work at the appropriate level and a chamber music excerpt provided beforehand by the Conservatory. Auditions are scheduled prior to the start of the fall quarter. Space is limited.

Introduction to Chamber Music

Students performing at an intermediate level (Suzuki Book 3 and above) with no prior chamber music experience may audition to participate in Introduction to Chamber Music. This class emphasizes reading, counting and ensemble skills. Students will study, rehearse and perform a variety of repertoire.
