Our Classes

Artes Vocales of Los Angeles (Adult Community Choir)

Join a vibrant community choir of classical singers committed to the highest standard of performance, engaging diverse choral repertoire with a focus on vocal technique. Led by Dr. Steven Kronauer, a renowned voice teacher and conductor, members are asked to commit to 30 weeks of rehearsal and a minimum of two performances (in January 2015, and in the spring.) An audition is required. Please contact the office at music@pasadenaconservatory.org for more information about auditions. Tuition: $360 plus a materials fee in the fall and spring for required scores.

Chamber Music

Performing with a trio, quartet, or quintet provides a great opportunity to play with others and work on sight-reading and performing skills while delving into exciting repertoire. Chamber groups are formed based on student demand, availability, and skill level.

Adult Guitar Orchestra

Meets Wednesdays at 7-8:30 p.m.
This is a performance oriented ensemble for adult amateurs. The ensemble studies and performs original and arranged works for guitar orchestra, with two to four instruments per part, and is led by a conductor. Admittance is by audition.

Piano Ensemble

Meets Mondays at 12:30-2:30 p.m.
This class is designed for adult amateurs of intermediate to advanced levels. The ensemble will study and perform original and arranged works for piano duos, trios, and quartets. Fundamental ensemble skills such as collaboration, synchronization, and rehearsal techniques, as well as activities designed to develop piano technique, efficient practice habits, and sight reading skills will be addressed. Class priorities include making music with other pianists and having fun! Conducted by Dr. Cynthia Williams, admittance for this class is by audition.
