Featuring performances by the Conservatory’s artist teacher, Scott Tennant, guitar faculty*, and LAYGO, this event will include a diverse program including works by Scarlatti, Paganini, Castelnuovo-Tedesco, Leo Brouwer, and a US premier by Richard Melkonian. The event will also feature a guest appearance by Conservatory percussion faculty member T.J. Troy.

Proceeds from ticket sales and donations to this event will help support PCM’s guitar department programs, which provide meaningful musical opportunities and experiences for talented young guitarists.

This past October, guitar students participated in a master class with Martha Masters, a leading force in the classical guitar world. Also, the guitar ensembles LAYGO and J-GO have enjoyed public performances at the Pasadena Public Library’s Donald Wright Auditorium and A Noise Within. These are just two examples of how PCM’s guitar department helps shape the musical development of its students. With your help and the increased support from our community, PCM’s guitar students and their families look forward to more performances, master classes, and touring opportunities in the coming year.

*PCM guitar faculty includes Brian Barany, Felix Bullock, David Margolis, Adam Pettit, and Connie Sheu
